It’s that time again! The 5th Annual Patriot Days. Even more exhibitors, great food, colonial games! Admission is only $3, kids 6 and under free.

While away the evening in picturesque Pioneer Village and enjoy the dulcet tones of “King’s Highway”. Ticket price includes the concert and dinner featuring Roy Henry’s famous Boogaloo Barbecue and two sides. There will be activities for the kids, including basket weaving with “Woven Together in Western Kentucky Basket Guild”, and more. “Bluegrass at the Village” is brought to you through the cooperation of Friends of Pioneer Village, The Owensboro Daviess County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Daviess County Fiscal Court, and Owensboro Parent Magazine. Tickets: $12 for adults. Kids 12 and under $6. Tickets are available at the Owensboro Daviess County Convention and Visitors Bureau located at 215 E 2nd St. All proceeds to benefit the “Village at the Creek” Art series.

It’s almost time for Patriot Days!

Patriot Days is a celebration of the founding principles that made America the greatest nation on earth.  Our goal is get a pocket Constitution into the hands of every child in Daviess County.  The schedule for this years event:

Friday September 13th

Field Trip Day 8am to 3pm

Buffalo Dinner 6pm to 9pm

Saturday September 14th

Open to the Public 8am to 6pm

Admission is $3 (kids 12 and under FREE)

Sunday, September 15th

Chapel Service 9 am

There will plenty of games and prizes for the kids.  We will also have living history exhibits including muzzle loaders, a blacksmith, a potter, a butter maker and basket weaver.  We hope that you can attend this free event.

Food will be available for purchase all day, including: hot dogs, hamburgers, roasted corn, lemonade and iced tea.  Handicap accessibility can be arranged by calling 689-2310 or the Daviess County Parks and Rec department with official tag.  Normal park restroom facilities will be available.
